THE OTHER CINEMA TRAVELS TO WILDERNESS & LEEDS FESTIVAL THIS SUMMER

"I'm very proud to be part of The Other Cinema Project and honored that LA HAINE after all these years is still a symbol of rebellion for old and new generations.” - Mathieu Kassovitz

Mathieu Kassovitz's seminal work La Haine was brought to communities across the world by The Other Cinema, produced by Future Cinema, which saw thousands of people from Tottenham to Estonia, Paris to Kabul, sharing a vibrant and intimate celebration of cinema. More than 25 artists, poets, break-dancers and graffiti artists contributed, including Akala, Daniel Soares and Lyrix Organix.

Asian Dub Foundation headlined three flagship events held at Broadwater Farm and the Troxy in London, and the Trianon, Paris, where they performed a live re-score to the film. There is another chance to catch Future Cinema's rescoring of La Haine with Asian Dub Foundation at Wilderness and Leeds.

SHORT FILM COMPETITION WINNER

Future Shorts, in partnership with Buddy London and Revolver Entertainment, held a competition wherein local filmmakers had 24-hours to create a short film detailing their interpretation of hate. The winning film was "Cross Over" by Max Witting.
